Job Overview:
Our client, a luxury Asian concept restaurant in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Sushi Head Chef to lead their sushi kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, creatively driven, and brings strong leadership to a fast-paced, high-end culinary environment. This is a key role for someone passionate about Japanese cuisine and committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences within the luxury hospitality space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sushi kitchen, ensuring excellence in product quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Develop and refresh sushi and sashimi menus that balance tradition with innovation
  • Oversee sourcing and procurement of premium ingredients with a focus on freshness and quality
  • Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, health, and safety standards
  • Supervise, train, and motivate the sushi team, fostering a positive and performance-driven culture
  • Collaborate with the client’s executive culinary and F&B teams to align with broader brand and guest expectations
  • Manage inventory, food costs, and minimize waste while upholding premium standards
  • Support guest engagement during activations or special events where culinary presence is needed

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience specializing in leadership or head sushi chef role in a luxury or fine dining environment
  • Formal culinary training in Japanese or Asian cuisine preferred
  • Advanced knife skills and deep understanding of traditional and modern sushi preparation
  • Energetic, hands-on, and team-oriented leadership style
  • Solid understanding of HACCP and food safety protocols
  • Strong communication skills and polished, guest-facing presence
  • Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia and adapt to local culture and regulations
