About the Opportunity: Senior Pastry Chef

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Pastry Chef to join our leadership team. Working closely with the Head Baker, you’ll help drive innovation and excellence across our bakery offering. This is a key role in maintaining our high standards and creating memorable food experiences that honour our Greek roots while pushing culinary boundaries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head Baker to innovate and evolve our bakery-led menu
  • Lead, train, and inspire the pastry and bakery team
  • Monitor industry trends, sourcing new products and ideas to keep Norma’s at the forefront
  • Oversee daily food production, stock control, and quality assurance
  • Supervise and support all levels of bakery staff, ensuring top-tier execution and consistency
  • Contribute to recipe development and seasonal menu planning
  • Maintain the highest hygiene and food safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with FOH and BOH teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Manage inventory and assist in ordering supplies
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Patisserie (or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of food safety and WHS practices (NSW FSS Certificate required)
  • Passion for baking, with a focus on pastries and Viennoiserie
  • Excellent time management, communication, and leadership skills
  • Creative, dedicated, and enthusiastic with a commitment to excellence
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment
