Job Summary:
 The Senior Architect is responsible for overseeing and managing architectural projects related to the design, construction, and renovation of hotel properties. This role requires a deep understanding of architectural principles, design aesthetics, building codes, and the specific requirements of the hospitality sector. The Senior Architect collaborates closely with various stakeholders, including management, developers, contractors, and interior designers, to ensure that the hotel’s design is functional, aesthetically appealing, and in line with brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage the architectural design process for new hotel developments, renovations, and expansions.
    • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
    • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other consultant to ensure project specifications are met.
    • Provide clear guidance and direction to junior architects, designers, and other team members.
  2. Design Conceptualization and Development
    • Develop innovative and functional design concepts that align with the hotel's brand, aesthetic preferences, and guest experience goals.
    • Create detailed architectural plans, drawings, and specifications for hotel buildings, including guest rooms, public spaces, amenities, and back-of-house areas.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and design assessments to optimize the use of space, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
  3. Collaboration with Stakeholders
    • Work closely with developers, and management teams to understand their vision and ensure that design solutions meet their expectations.
    • Collaborate with interior designers, landscape architects, and engineers to integrate all aspects of the hotel design.
    • Consult with local authorities to ensure compliance with zoning, building codes, and other regulations.
  4. Code Compliance and Sustainability
    • Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
    • Focus on sustainability by incorporating eco-friendly design practices, such as energy-efficient systems, sustainable materials, and water conservation measures.
  5. Site Visits and Construction Oversight
    • Regularly visit construction sites to monitor progress, ensure quality control, and resolve any architectural or design-related issues.
    • Work closely with the construction team to troubleshoot any design-related challenges that arise during construction.
    • Ensure that the finished building aligns with the initial design and vision of the project.
  6. Mentoring and Team Development
    • Mentor junior architects and design staff, providing guidance and support to help develop their skills.
    • Encourage a collaborative, creative, and solution-oriented work environment.
  7. Innovation and Industry Trends
    • Stay current with industry trends in hotel design, including new materials, technologies, and architectural styles.
    • Promote innovative solutions that enhance hotel operations, guest satisfaction, and sustainability.
  8. Client and Stakeholder Presentations
    • Present design concepts, renderings, and plans to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
    • Clearly communicate design ideas, explaining how they meet both aesthetic and functional goals.
