My client is seeking a dynamic, hands-on Restaurant Manager who thrives in high-end hospitality, loves the vibrant Helderberg lifestyle, and brings energy, warmth, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire the front-of-house team, ensuring smooth daily service and exceptional guest experiences
  • Oversee staff training, shift planning, cash-ups, stock control, and supplier liaison
  • Maintain a polished ambience and uphold the estate’s fine-dining standards
  • Engage guests with confident wine and menu recommendations, promoting wine sales and managing cellar presentation
  • Support and coordinate weddings, functions, and special events to the highest standard
  • Monitor guest feedback, respond promptly, and continuously enhance service quality
Criteria
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or wine estates
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills with a focus on service excellence
  • Hospitality qualification beneficial
  • Passion for wine, food, and the hospitality lifestyle
  • Proficient in POS systems, stock controls, and front-of-house operations
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Well-presented, detail-oriented, and professional
  • Preferably based in or near Stellenbosch/Helderberg area
