Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking an experienced and service-driven Restaurant Manager for a prestigious luxury wine estate located in the Stellenbosch area. This position is ideal for a hospitality professional with a passion for fine dining and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure seamless service delivery
Lead and manage the front-of-house team to maintain high service standards
Ensure the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety
Manage staff rotas, recruitment, training, and performance management
Collaborate with the Head Chef to ensure the menu and service align with the estate’s brand and guest expectations
Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and efficiency
Monitor stock levels and order supplies as required
Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash-ups and financial reporting
Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards
Requirements:
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a management role within a high-end restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and a strong sense of organisation
Sound knowledge of food, wine, and fine dining etiquette
Financial acumen and experience with budget management and reporting
Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant booking platforms
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
