Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef de Partie to join the culinary team at a luxury private wildlife reserve situated in the remote and picturesque Kalahari.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and presentation of high-quality pastry and dessert offerings
Assist in menu development with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the pastry section
Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Uphold hygiene and safety standards in line with food regulations
Requirements:
Formal culinary training with a strong focus on pastry
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a luxury lodge or fine dining environment
Creative flair and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and in a remote environment
Strong organisational and communication skills
Package Includes:
Monthly salary of R13,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
Live-in accommodation: shared, furnished 2-bedroom house with en-suite room
Company contribution of 50% towards medical aid
7.5% company contribution to a provident fund
6 weeks on / 2 weeks off work cycle
