Line Cook – Fine Dining Italian Cuisine

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes following standardized recipes and portion sizes.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly rotated.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
- Assist with daily prep and planning for upcoming service.
- Keep your workstation clean, organized, and stocked.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Store food properly at the end of each shift.
- Minimize waste and help manage food costs.
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly.
- Execute orders accurately and on time during service.
- Stay familiar with the full menu and ingredients.
- Inspect dishes before they leave the kitchen to ensure quality.
- Support other stations as needed to keep service running smoothly.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of professional kitchen experience.
- Food safety certification is required.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes and plating standards precisely.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine, ingredients, and traditional cooking methods.
- Experience working multiple stations in a high-volume kitchen.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work in hot, fast-paced environments.
- Operates kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, fryers, and knives.
- Availability required for lunch and dinner shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Expected to work 35+ hours per week, with flexibility based on business needs.
