As a Host/Hostess, you understand that first impressions are everything. You will provide a warm and friendly welcome when our guests arrive or phone with questions. You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. We rely on our Host/Hostess to keep our restaurant running smoothly and ensure that guests feel welcome to have a seat at our table!

Daily Responsibilities:

• Exceed guests’ expectations by providing friendly, prompt, and attentive service.
• Follow the steps of service of the host position.
• Greet our guests at the door, determine where they’d like to sit, and guide them to their table while making casual conversation.
• Provide a warm and friendly welcome when our guests arrive or call in with questions.
• Thank our guests as they are leaving.
• When we’re on a wait, quote an accurate wait time and encourage guests to browse our iconic décor.
• Assist with maintaining service areas – stocking and cleanliness.
• Receive and enter guests’ reservations into the system.
• Oversee dining room maintenance and monitor service to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, hospitality, or related professional area.
• At least 6 months experience as a host/hostess in upscale or fine dining serving experience
• High school diploma or equivalent is desired.
• Commitment to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift and proper use of equipment.
• Current Food Safety Certification required.
• Prolonged walking and standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly.
• Operates phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment.
