Pasta Cook – Fine Dining Italian Restaurant

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and cook pasta dishes following authentic Italian recipes and Zanti’s quality standards.
• Ensure freshness and proper rotation of ingredients.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and high-quality food service.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Execute recipes with precision and consistency.
• Inspect ingredients for quality and freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, coolers, and storage areas.
• Assist with prep for upcoming shifts and daily production planning.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of all food items.
• Communicate effectively with chefs and team members.
• Uphold Zanti’s standards for presentation, portioning, and flavor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of kitchen experience (line cook or sauté station preferred).
• Experience with Italian cuisine and fresh pasta preparation is a plus.
• Food Safety Certification required.

• Experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.

• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
• Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment.
• Availability required for lunch and dinner shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Expect to work more than 35 hours a week. Hours may vary.
