The Senior Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure high standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance are maintained in guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and laundry. The role involves supervising housekeeping staff, coordinating schedules, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with hotel policies and hygiene standards.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff including room attendants, public area cleaners, and laundry attendants.
Ensure all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to brand and hygiene standards.
Assign daily duties and responsibilities to housekeeping staff and monitor their progress.
Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, condition, and compliance with hotel standards.
Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to housekeeping staff.
Monitor staff performance and ensure all team members follow established procedures.
Motivate and support staff to achieve departmental goals and maintain a positive working environment.
Respond promptly to guest complaints and requests related to housekeeping services.
Ensure special requests (e.g., VIP setups, amenities, extra linens) are met with precision.
Collaborate with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure guest satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of room occupancy, cleaning schedules, inventory, and staff attendance.
Assist in managing linen and cleaning supplies inventory, placing orders when necessary.
Prepare shift reports and ensure proper handover between shifts.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards and hotel policies.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
Report maintenance issues or hazards to the appropriate department.
