Senior Electrician

Job Purpose:

The Senior Electrician is responsible for the  maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment within the hotel. The role ensures that all electrical systems, including lighting, generators, and other electrical appliances, are functioning efficiently and safely, adhering to hotel standards, local regulations, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Maintenance & Repair:

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution panels, wiring, and circuit breakers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in guest rooms, public areas, kitchen equipment, HVAC systems, and other hotel facilities.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all electrical systems (e.g., emergency lighting, backup generators, and security systems).
  • Replace or repair malfunctioning electrical components as needed.

• Safety & Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols while performing electrical maintenance tasks, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain knowledge of local electrical codes and regulations to ensure all systems meet safety standards.
  • Assist in fire alarm and emergency system maintenance and tests.

• Troubleshooting:

  • Identify electrical issues and provide timely and cost-effective solutions, minimizing disruptions to hotel operations.
  • Use diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques to locate and repair problems in the electrical system.

• Guest Satisfaction:

  • Ensure all electrical systems in guest rooms and public areas are in working order to ensure a comfortable experience for hotel guests.
  • Respond to guest service requests related to electrical issues promptly and professionally.

• Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Report any significant issues or repairs to the Manager Engineering & Maintenance..
