As a Restaurant Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily FOH operations, implementing growth strategies, and ensuring excellent customer service. To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong leadership skills, passion for the food industry, and have a proven track record in managing restaurant operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Manage the daily operations of FOH inclusive of scheduling, specials, and general operations including opening and closing tasks, nightly lockup, and cash accountability.
· Identify, delegate and train staff to assume various responsibilities and ensure objectives are met and guest service is achieved.
· Manage and respond in an efficient and accurate manner to all guest complaints.
· Work with your team to consistently review operations and staff to identify problems, concerns, and areas of improvement identifying root cause and implementing solutions.
· Be aware of hiring needs, monitor and accept request offs, manage staff for restaurant needs.
· Train and develop new staff while also holding current employees to developing and growing standards.
· Improve service by communicating with and assisting staff to understand guests needs, feedback, and suggestions.
· Complete close, deposit, and tip tracking sheets.
· Two years FOH restaurant management preferred
· Familiarity with restaurant management software such as Toast, OpenTable, Tock, HotSchedules, SAGE, etc
· Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills
· Proficient general computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Experience in restaurant/bar industry management
· Must be a self-starter with great organizational skills and strong attention to detail
· Comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously, reprioritizing as needed
· Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
· Able to handle sensitive staff and guest situations in appropriate and professional manner
· Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
