Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and creative Pastry Chef de Partie to lead a section of our pastry kitchen at Upper Union Restaurant. This role is ideal for a chef with a strong foundation in pastry arts who thrives in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the preparation and execution of pastry items including plated desserts, breads, and specialty confections.
  • Lead and mentor junior pastry staff, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Contribute to menu development and seasonal changes with creative input.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.
  • Work closely with the Head Pastry Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a pastry role within a high-end restaurant or hotel.
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent pastry qualification.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of pastry techniques and ingredients.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage a section independently.
  • A passion for innovation and excellence in pastry.
