The Painter is responsible for maintaining the hotel’s interior and exterior surfaces by performing painting, finishing, and decorating work. This role ensures that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are kept in excellent aesthetic condition, contributing to the hotel’s overall appearance, comfort, and guest satisfaction.
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching holes or cracks.
Mix, match, and apply paints, varnishes, stains, lacquers, and other finishes using appropriate tools and techniques.
Perform touch-ups and repainting of walls, ceilings, woodwork, metal, and other surfaces as needed.
Repair and maintain wall coverings, decorative finishes, and painted furniture.
Select and maintain inventory of paints, brushes, rollers, and related materials.
Ensure proper surface protection of furniture, flooring, and fixtures during painting work.
Inspect and maintain painted surfaces in guest rooms, public areas, and service areas on a regular schedule.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the painting workshop and storage areas.
Follow hotel safety standards, including proper use and disposal of paint materials and chemicals.
Assist in other maintenance tasks as assigned by the Engineering Supervisor or Chief Engineer.
