Position Overview:

The Hostess - Food & Beverage Service is responsible for greeting and seating guests at the hotel’s restaurant or dining area, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. The Hostess is often the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant, and plays a key role in ensuring a positive dining experience from the start. This role involves managing reservations, maintaining guest flow, and assisting in communication between the kitchen, servers, and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Greeting & Seating: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, provide menus, and escort them to their assigned tables. Ensure the seating process is smooth and efficient, while providing a friendly and positive first impression of the restaurant.

  • Reservation Management: Manage the reservation system, ensuring that all reservations are recorded accurately and seating is organized efficiently. Handle walk-ins and ensure that guests are seated according to availability and preference.

  • Guest Interaction: Address guest inquiries and provide information about the restaurant, menu, specials, and any events or promotions. Offer assistance in seating preferences and provide recommendations when needed.

  • Waitlist Management: Handle the waitlist when the restaurant is busy, ensuring that guests are informed of expected wait times and seated as soon as their table is ready.
