About the Restaurant
The restaurant is a unique dining destination bringing centuries of culinary expertise to Hong Kong, and named after the company's iconic address in Europe. Located in Tsim Sha Tsui, the elegant bar and dining room offers Afternoon Tea, breakfast, lunch, and dinner with stunning views of Hong Kong Island.
Role Purpose
As the Host/ess, you will be the face of the restaurant, creating a warm and welcoming environment for the customers. You will ensure the smooth running of the restaurant, working closely with the reservation team and maintaining the high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for customers, providing a positive and memorable welcome
- Collaborate with the reservation team to manage bookings accurately
- Ensure the restaurant operates smoothly, with a focus on customer experience and satisfaction
- Maintain a strong understanding of the brand, menus, and services
- Lead by example, role modelling the company values and grooming standards
- Support new recruits and foster an 'Achieving Together' environment
- Multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
Key Performance Indicators
- Customer feedback and health & safety standards
- Ongoing feedback from line managers, peers, and team
- Adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and service levels
- Delivering an extraordinary customer experience and meeting sales targets
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to think quickly and rationally under pressure
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- A positive outlook and approach, even in stressful situations
- Fluency in English and Cantonese/Mandarin is an asset
- A genuine passion for food, beverage, and exceptional customer service
