About the Role
We are opening a new, upmarket Portuguese restaurant and are looking for a Head Chef to help bring our kitchen to life. This role is ideal for someone who loves Portuguese flavours, enjoys leading a team, and wants to build something special from the ground up.
You don’t need to be overly corporate or formal — we’re looking for a hands-on chef who enjoys cooking, guiding others, and creating food people genuinely love. Ambitious Senior Sous Chefs who are ready to step up are very welcome to apply.
What You’ll Be Doing

Requirements & Experience
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-quality restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of Portuguese cuisine, ingredients, and traditional cooking techniques, a huge advantage.
Demonstrated experience in menu development, recipe writing, and menu sampling/tastings.
Proven ability to manage and lead a diverse kitchen team, including Sous and Pastry Chefs.
Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen compliance.
