Job Overview
This role oversees all pastry operations at a senior level, driving menu development, recipe creation, production standards, and team performance across multiple locations. It requires a highly skilled professional with deep expertise in pastry arts, strong leadership abilities, and a hands-on approach to training and guiding teams. The ideal candidate maintains exceptional culinary standards, communicates effectively, and consistently delivers refined pastry concepts aligned with a luxury Caribbean environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop pastry teams through structured training, hands-on guidance, and consistent performance management
  • Oversee pastry production, recipe development, and creative menu planning with strong emphasis on quality, presentation, and innovation
  • Ensure effective cost control, inventory management, and efficient operational workflows within all pastry kitchens
  • Drive the creation of healthy, nutritious, and contemporary pastry offerings including gluten-free, vegan, and wellness-focused selections
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols in line with international best practices
  • Collaborate with culinary and service teams to elevate guest experiences, special events, and signature pastry programs
  • Uphold a professional, solutions-oriented leadership style while managing high standards across multiple operations
  • Continuously refine pastry concepts by monitoring trends, guest preferences, and seasonal opportunities
  • Ensure smooth communication between all kitchen departments to support consistent service execution
  • Represent the pastry division with a creative mindset, reinforcing excellence across all touchpoints

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Qualifications from a recognized Culinary Institute
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a 4-star all-inclusive resort environment
  • Expertise in pastry arts with proven ability to create healthy, modern, and innovative desserts
  • Strong knowledge of gluten-free, vegan, and dietary-specific pastry preparation
  • Demonstrated skill in cost control, kitchen organization, and operational efficiency
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-management capabilities
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to uphold luxury-level standards in fast-paced environments
  • Caribbean working experience is an advantage
