Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales - MICE to join our team in the beautiful island destination of Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sales strategies and maximizing revenue opportunities for our world-class facilities.

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed MICE revenue targets
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the domestic and international MICE markets
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of MICE events
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and pricing decisions
  • Oversee the preparation and negotiation of contracts and proposals for large-scale MICE events
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in MICE sales, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams
  • Strong strategic thinking and revenue management skills
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software and sales analytics tools
  • Advanced budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills
  • Outstanding presentation and public speaking abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of the MICE industry, current trends, and best practices
  • Understanding of the hospitality and tourism sector in Vietnam and the broader Asia-Pacific region
  • Experience working with international markets and diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Professional certifications such as CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) or CITP (Certified Incentive Travel Professional) preferred
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in Vietnamese or other Asian languages is a plus
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
