The Demi Chef de Partie is responsible for assisting the Chef de Partie in managing a specific section of the kitchen. The Demi Chef de Partie will support the kitchen team by executing tasks within their assigned station, ensuring cleanliness, and complying with food safety and hygiene standards. Food Preparation & Cooking: Assist the Chef de Partie in the preparation and cooking of food items for your designated section of the kitchen. Follow recipes and ensure dishes are cooked to perfection and presented to the highest standard.
Support Chef de Partie: Work closely with the Chef de Partie to ensure the smooth operation of your station. Follow instructions and assist with the preparation and plating of dishes, ensuring quality control throughout the process.
Menu Execution: Adhere to the established menu and daily specials, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all food preparation and service. Maintain high standards of taste, presentation, and portion control.
Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes are prepared and cooked according to hotel specifications, maintaining a consistent level of quality. Monitor portion sizes, food temperatures, and the presentation of each dish.
Station Maintenance & Cleanliness: Keep your station and workspace clean, organized, and in compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines. Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and used according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Staff Collaboration: Work effectively with kitchen colleagues, including junior staff, ensuring smooth communication and coordination in the kitchen. Provide guidance and support to Commis Chefs or Kitchen Assistants, when necessary.
