Head / Senior Tournant Chef (Multi-Venue — SA Pubs Group)
Full-Time | Adelaide Metro & Regional South Australia
 
Open Pantry Co. is proud to be partnering with a growing South Australian pub group. 
They are a locally owned operator with a broad portfolio of metropolitan and regional venues. 
This role is built for a chef who can lead, adapt and deliver consistent quality across multiple kitchens, stepping in where and when needed to support and elevate venue operations.
 
What you'll be doing

• Providing senior kitchen leadership when covering for Head Chefs across multiple pubs.
• Leading kitchen operations: coordinating food preparation, supervising teams, ensuring menu standards and quality controls.
• Maintaining consistent standards of food quality, portion control, GP targets, safety and hygiene across all venues.
• Supporting venues during leave, high-volume service periods or transition phases.
• Being a positive mentor and stabilising presence, quickly integrating with different kitchen teams and fostering strong teamwork and consistency.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous with head-chef capability, ideally with exposure to pub/bistro-style kitchens.
• Excellent kitchen management skills and a solid culinary foundation, including menu understanding, food-prep standards, cost control, and hygiene and compliance.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced pub or bistro environments.
• Strong leadership, communication and adaptability, able to slot into different venues and lead teams confidently.
• Flexibility to travel across metro and regional South Australia.
• Full working rights in Australia plus a valid driver's licence.
