Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Sous Chef in menu development, food preparation, and quality initiatives
  • Prepare and arrange food according to hotel recipes and health department requirements
  • Set up and maintain workstation, including cleanliness of assigned areas
  • Perform regular inventory checks and maintain proper par levels
  • Train staff members as directed and ensure HACCP standards are consistently followed
  • Report any safety hazards, discrepancies in recipes, or needed improvements to management
  • Adhere to Constance Hotels Experience and Constance Ephelia Resort core values and CERS discipline standards

 

Qualifications

Candidate Requirements :

 

  • Diploma / certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position in a 5 Star hotel
  • Have good knowledge of HACCP standards, food safety, food preparation and menu content
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Self-motivated, creative and highly energetic personality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in various cooking techniques and methods
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Keen eye for detail and commitment to consistently high standards of food presentation
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Basic computer skills for menu planning and inventory management
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when required
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new culinary trends and techniques
  • Familiarity with international cuisines and dietary requirements is an advantage
