We are currently looking for a Pastry Chef  to join our team in Xemxija Bay Hotel. 


Job Role

As a Pastry  Chef, you will support the team in the preparation and production of high-quality desserts and baked goods. You will assist in day-to-day kitchen operations while learning and developing your skills under the guidance of senior pastry chefs.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation of pastry items, baked goods, and desserts.
  • Preparing ingredients and ensuring workstation is clean and well-organized.
  • Decorating and finishing pastries and desserts.
  • Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
  • Supporting the team in maintaining hygiene and safety standards in line with regulations.
  • Participating in training and development opportunities to grow in the role.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: 1 to 2 years
  • Vast knowledge of baking techniques and interest in pastry work.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexible with working hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Passionate about pastry and eager to grow in the culinary field.
  • Organized, enthusiastic, and a team player.
  • Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
