Job Description: Sous Chef - Italian Cuisine
Number of Openings: 1
Job Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in designing and implementing the Italian menu.
Prepare and cook high-quality Italian dishes following the established recipes and presentation standards.
Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure that food is prepared safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Handle food inventory management, including ordering and storing ingredients.
Monitor food quality and ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
Assist in developing new recipes and menu items to stay current with culinary trends.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service and ensure customer satisfaction.
Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss improvements and team performance.
Essential Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role with a focus on Italian cuisine.
Certification from a culinary school or relevant vocational training.
Strong knowledge of Italian cooking techniques and ingredients.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high-quality standards under pressure.
Excellent leadership and management skills with a passion for training others.
Desired Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in Italian restaurants.
Experience in a supervisory role managing kitchen staff.
Demonstrated creativity in menu development and culinary presentation.
Proficient in food safety and sanitation regulations.
