Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at Apparel Trading Company Limited. As the Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence, collaborating closely with the Head Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from supervising kitchen staff and ensuring food preparation meets our quality standards to developing innovative menu items and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in meal preparation and cooking, adhering to menu specifications and quality standards.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
  • Manage food inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies, while minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and develop new menu items, emphasizing seasonal and local ingredients.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring dishes are served at the correct temperature and portion sizes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment among kitchen staff, promoting effective teamwork.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling and staff management, as directed by the Head Chef.


Qualifications
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen environment is required.
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of cooking techniques and food safety practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring a well-organized kitchen operation.
  • Passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the kitchen's operational needs.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and the ability to lift heavy objects when necessary.
