Responsibilities- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, adhering to established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure consistent taste, presentation, and portion control for all dishes.
- Assist in creating new menu items and specials to keep our offerings fresh and innovative.
- Maintain proper food rotation and storage practices to minimize waste.
- Set up and stock kitchen stations before service, ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages to the Head Chef or Sous Chef promptly.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, functional, and operated safely.
- Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines to maintain a healthy kitchen environment.
- Guide and support junior line cooks, providing mentorship and training on kitchen processes and standards.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely order fulfillment and a smooth dining experience.
Qualifications- Proven experience as a Line Cook, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a high-volume or fine-dining setting.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to kitchen operations.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering the highest quality dishes.
- Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification is highly preferred.
- Experience in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff is an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the restaurant's operations.
- Physical stamina to withstand long periods of standing and a fast-paced kitchen environment.
