We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our small team at Rose Bakery. Energy, adaptability along with a great attitude are also key for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a kitchen team, creating a supportive, high-performance culture
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring excellence in quality, consistency, and food presentation
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop seasonal, creative menus that reflect our culinary ethos
- Maintain exceptional food hygiene and safety standards across the kitchen
- Skilled in managing BOH rota’s with the guidance of Head Chef
- Manage food ordering, and stock control efficiently and sustainably
- Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs, fostering growth and creativity
- Work closely with the General Manager and FOH team to ensure a seamless, memorable guest experience
Skills Required
- Minimum 3 year kitchen experience required
- Food Hygiene & Safety Level 2 is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
- Brings creativity, curiosity, and a genuine love for fresh, seasonal cooking
- Flexible attitude and ability to manage a varied workload
- Ability to work independently and to be self motivated
