The Restaurant at Zero George—newly recognized as a Michelin Selected restaurant—is seeking a talented and passionate Floor Sommelier to join our team. Our tasting menu showcases contemporary American cuisine with global influence, crafted by Executive Chef Vinson Petrillo. We offer an intimate fine dining experience where thoughtful service, precision, and exceptional wine pairings are central to the guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the front-of-house team to deliver a seamless, elevated dining experience.
     
  • Guide guests through the wine list and recommend pairings that complement the tasting menu.
     
  • Execute all aspects of wine service, including decanting, proper presentation, and ensuring optimal serving conditions.
     
  • Ensure proper glassware standards, cellar maintenance, and wine storage protocols.
     
  • Participate in monthly inventory, assist with receiving and stocking wine product (must be able to lift 40-pound boxes).
     
  • Maintain a polished, professional appearance and uphold the hospitality and service standards of Zero George.
     

Requirements

  • Previous experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality preferred.
     
  • Strong wine knowledge, especially French and Italian varietals; formal wine education is a plus.
     
  • Exceptional guest service skills and a genuine passion for hospitality.
     
  • High attention to detail, strong communication, and excellent time management.
     
  • Team-oriented with a proactive approach to service.
     
  • Must be available to work weekends.
