The Sommelier is responsible for curating and leading the guest beverage experience from arrival to departure, with particular emphasis on personalized wine and beverage storytelling, seamless service flow, and elevating the emotional rhythm of the dining experience. This leader ensures exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and a positive, engaged team culture. The Sommelier works closely with culinary leadership, the Director of Outlets and the F&B Director, to maintain service standards, drive revenue, and uphold The Loren’s brand identity and guest experience expectations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the “face” of the beverage experience
- Manage a premium wine list tied to the resort’s luxury branding
- Create memorable, high-value moments that translate directly into revenue and guest loyalty
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Conduct regular floor presence during meal periods to support the team and engage guests
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, respect, and guest-first hospitality
- Maintain a working knowledge of all wines listed as well as industry trends
- Manage Wine inventory to ensure cost margins are maintained as well as proper movement of stock
- Drive revenue performance through menu engineering, upselling programs, and promotional strategies
- Review daily/weekly wine & beverage sales reports and implement improvements where needed
- Ensure inventory controls and minimize waste & loss
- Train team members on wine knowledge and build confidence in selling
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of progressive international Food & Beverage experience within luxury resorts, lifestyle hospitality, and / or high-end dining environments with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity
- Expert-level product knowledge: Old & New World regions, producers, vintages
- Minimum WSET Level 2 certification in wines and spirits.
- Inspirational leadership presence with the ability to motivate, coach, and empower diverse teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional guest service and polished service recovery
- Proven record of wine program management (inventory controls, upselling)
- Ability to prioritize and perform under pressure in a fast-paced, guest-driven environment
- Experience using Margin Edge and Micros strong asset.
