Following Buenos Aires and Miami Beach, Faena New York, will find its home at 500 West 18th Street, overlooking the High Line in a building designed by Bjarke Ingels Group. This latest opening will be synonymous with sophistication, glamour, breathtaking artwork, and cultural trendsetting. This opening will mark the resurgence of luxury nightlife experiences in New York with dynamic food and beverage venues and programming that will make Faena the ultimate destination for the sophisticated traveler to New York.
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing service operations during assigned shifts, ensuring a seamless and elevated guest experience throughout the restaurant. This role supervises front-of-house staff, supports team training and development, and acts as the first point of contact for guest recovery. The Floor Manager is expected to lead by example, uphold La Boca service standards, and ensure that the energy and flow of the floor align with the restaurant’s cultural and service ethos.
This full-time position has an annual compensation of $85,000.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage floor service during assigned shifts, ensuring all guest touchpoints meet or exceed expectations
Monitor table status, service timing, and pacing in coordination with kitchen and bar teams
Ensure all team members are adhering to uniform and grooming standards
Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily updates, specials, and priorities
Greet guests and engage throughout service to ensure satisfaction and anticipate needs
Manage all guest complaints and concerns, resolving issues with discretion and warmth
Monitor reservation flow and coordinate with hosts on seating efficiency
Supervise servers, assistant servers, and hosts during service
Provide in-the-moment coaching and support to maintain service quality and morale
Identify training needs and partner with leadership for development plans
Uphold a team culture of accountability, support, and collaboration
Assist with opening and closing procedures
Ensure accurate side work, cleaning checklists, and daily logs are completed
Monitor supply levels and communicate inventory needs to management
2+ years of supervisory experience in a high-volume or upscale restaurant
Strong understanding of restaurant floor operations and hospitality standards
Proven leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
Exceptional guest interaction and service recovery skills
Familiarity with POS and reservation management systems
Food Handler and Alcohol Safety Certification required or obtainable prior to start
Bilingual in Spanish a plus
