About the role
As a Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, controlling inventory, and maximizing profitability. You will create a positive and engaging environment for both customers and employees, while also maintaining brand standards and upholding food safety regulations.
What you'll do
- Operations Management:
- Oversee all aspects of store operations, including opening and closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring equipment is in working order.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows to streamline operations and maximize productivity.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving supplies to meet customer demand while minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers, resolving any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Train staff on customer service best practices, including product knowledge and upselling techniques.
- Solicit and respond to customer feedback to improve the overall customer experience.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, hire, train, and schedule a team of employees, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet business needs.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to staff to support their professional development and performance improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and mutual respect.
- Financial Management:
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets and profitability goals.
- Control expenses, such as labor and supplies, to optimize cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
- Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail management, preferably in the food or hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem solving skills.
- Solid understanding of financial principles and experience with budget management.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
