Job Summary: Assist the pastry team in creating high-quality desserts and baked goods.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire the pastry team in creating exquisite desserts, pastries, and breads that reflect our commitment to excellence.
Support Executive Pastry Chef on daily operations and collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef to design seasonal menus that align with the resort’s luxury dining experience.
Ensure consistency in presentation, flavor profiles, and quality, maintaining a seamless guest experience across all dining outlets.
Train, mentor, and develop pastry team members, fostering a positive and collaborative kitchen culture.
Uphold best practices in kitchen operations, including sanitation, food safety, and inventory management.
Work closely with other culinary and front-of-house teams to enhance guest satisfaction and exceed expectations.
Prepare doughs, batters, and other pastry items.
Assist with plating and presentation of desserts.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of pastry experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a fine dining environment.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a commitment to maintaining the highest culinary standards.
Culinary degree or professional training preferred.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
Familiarity with property (e.g., Boonfly, FARM, Hilltop).
Team player mentality and a commitment to maintaining the resort’s high standards.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
Ability to navigate the resort’s expansive property as applicable
