This independently owned, high-end establishment is celebrated for its exceptional culinary standards and is now seeking a talented Pastry Chef to join their dynamic kitchen team.
Open Wednesday to Sunday and catering to both busy services and private events, this venue offers an exciting opportunity to work in a creative and fast-paced environment with room for career progression.
• Pastry Section Leadership – Oversee the pastry section, preparing and presenting high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods.
• Menu Development – Collaborate with the Head Chef to design and execute innovative dessert menus.
• Consistency & Quality – Ensure all pastry items meet high standards in taste, texture, and presentation.
• Compliance & Cleanliness – Maintain a clean, organised workspace while upholding food safety regulations.
• Team Development – Train and mentor junior pastry chefs, encouraging a strong, efficient team dynamic.
• Stock Control – Manage pastry inventory, minimising waste and ensuring ingredient freshness.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining or upscale kitchen environment.
• Skills: Excellent knowledge of pastry techniques, attention to detail, and creativity in presentation.
• Personal Attributes: Supportive leader with strong communication skills and a passion for mentoring.
• Flexibility: Must be available to work Wednesday through Sunday, including evenings and events.
• Relevant Qualifications: Food Safety Level 2 or higher preferred.
