Laundry Attendant

Position Overview:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the proper cleaning, ironing, folding, and storage of hotel linens, guest garments, and staff uniforms. This role ensures that all laundry is processed to the highest cleanliness and presentation standards while maintaining efficiency and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, sort, and mark laundry items according to fabric type and washing instructions.
• Operate washing, drying, and pressing machines safely and efficiently.
• Inspect linens and garments for stains, damage, or wear and take appropriate action.
• Use proper stain removal techniques and handle delicate fabrics with care.
• Fold, package, and store clean laundry neatly and accurately.
• Deliver laundered items to the appropriate department or guest room as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area at all times.
• Monitor laundry supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Follow all health, hygiene, and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping environment preferred.
• Knowledge of different fabrics and appropriate cleaning methods.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely.
• Good physical stamina for repetitive tasks and lifting.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
