The Kitchen Operation Manager oversees the day-to-day activities of a kitchen, guaranteeing smooth operations and high-quality output. This role involves managing staff, coordinating orders, and maintaining inventory control to ensure that all aspects of kitchen operations run efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Manage daily kitchen operations and ensure high food quality and safety standards.
  • Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen staff effectively.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manage inventory to avoid shortages or excess.
  • Develop and enforce hygiene and cleanliness protocols.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and arrange for maintenance and repairs when necessary.
  • Implement cost-control measures to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Collaborate with the head chef to plan and update menus.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a kitchen manager or in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
