Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled  Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes while ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and restaurant service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food production and preparation.
• Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in menu planning, including seasonal offerings and special events.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook or Sous Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
• Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
