Develop and manage the restaurant's wine list, ensuring a well-balanced selection.
Provide expert recommendations on wine pairings to enhance the dining experience.
Train and mentor restaurant staff on wine knowledge and service techniques.
Maintain wine inventory, monitor stock levels, and place orders as needed.
Conduct wine tastings and promotional events for guests and staff.
Work closely with chefs and bar managers to create complementary pairings.
Ensure proper storage and handling of all wines.
Monitor industry trends and introduce new selections to keep the menu innovative.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol regulations.
Handle guest inquiries and special requests professionally.
What You Will Bring:
Certification as a sommelier (WSET, CMS, or equivalent).
Extensive knowledge of wines, vineyards, and food pairings.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to manage inventory and control costs effectively.
Experience working in fine dining or high-end hospitality settings.
Passion for educating staff and guests about wines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
Proficiency in Japanese language
