Are you a young, passionate chef ready to build something legendary? My client is opening a bold new restaurant in Komatipoort, South Africa – and we are looking for a creative, driven, and energetic HEAD CHEF to lead the kitchen from the front.

They are about big flavour, great vibes, and gourmet comfort food done right – think killer sushi, wood-fired pizzas, mouthwatering steaks, and dishes that leave people raving. Inspired by the electric vibe of places like The Fat Butcher in Cape Town, we want soul, sizzle, and flair on every plate.

Duties & Responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
Leading and inspiring a team of kitchen staff
Creating a menu that’s fresh, flavour-packed, and unforgettable
Working directly with the Owner to shape the food identity of the brand
Setting the tone for kitchen culture: think creative, fast-paced, and fun
Skills & Experience required:
A young, dynamic chef with a fire in their belly and ideas in their back pocket
Someone who knows how to plate beautifully – without the fuss of fine dining
A leader with a strong work ethic, positive energy, and team-first attitude
Experience across multiple cuisines such as sushi, pizza and steaks? That’s gold.
