We’re Atomic Coffee Roasters, a specialty roaster who have been at the forefront of the coffee industry since 1992. Using fair trade, specialty-grade coffee, we source, roast, and blend our beans to achieve a complex and challenging taste profile. We are dedicated to creating unique and high-quality coffee experiences for our customers.

We're searching for a Head Chef to join our tight knit Kingsland café team. If you're passionate about creating top-notch food and creating unforgettable dining experiences, then this is the role for you!

The role:

• You’ll work alongside our kitchen team to create and craft fresh dishes every day - for both A la carte plates and cabinet food prepared for our satellite espresso bars.
• You’ll take ownership of kitchen prep systems, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently from start to finish. Overseeing the daily service flow, you’ll coordinate the team, maintain high standards of food quality and presentation, and keep operations seamless during busy periods. Your leadership will ensure the kitchen is well-prepared, organised, and consistently delivering exceptional experiences for our customers.
• You’ll take the lead on daily ordering, kitchen budgeting, food safety planning, and stock management, while keeping the café crew informed about daily specials and providing training and support to the team.
• you’ll work closely with our Café Manager, Operations Manager, and wider team, and have plenty of opportunity and freedom to set the culinary direction, and truly make the kitchen your own.

We’re looking for a passionate foodie ready to bring fresh ideas to life and elevate our café offerings. With a perfect mix of creativity, commercial savvy, and strong communication skills, you’re able to confidently engage with the wider business while inspiring and leading your team.

Enjoy sociable hours with early starts and early finishes, giving you more of your day back, and while a cooking qualification is a plus, we’re equally keen to meet people with one to two years’ experience as a chef or cook in catering, cafés, or a related industry.
