Job Description

Constance Lemuria, a luxury resort in the beautiful Seychelles, is seeking a talented and passionate Demi Chef De Partie to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

  • Assist the Chef de Partie in the daily operations of the assigned kitchen section
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient food service
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Contribute to menu planning and recipe development
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
  • Manage inventory and minimize food waste
  • Adapt to the fast-paced environment of a luxury resort kitchen
  • Participate in special culinary events and themed dinners

Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in luxury hotel or resort kitchens
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods
  • Proficiency in kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Valid food safety certification
  • Knowledge of international cuisines and current culinary trends
  • Understanding of dietary restrictions and allergens
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Adaptability to working in a tropical resort environment
