Our client in the catering industry is seeking a skilled Cold Kitchen Chef to join their team in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.


Minimum requirements:
  • Matric (Grade 12) essential
  • Reliable transport to and from work
  • Degree or Diploma in Culinary Arts with a minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in cold kitchen operations
  • Proven expertise in cold food preparation including salads, charcuterie, c, hors d’œuvres, sushi, and buffet items
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, storage standards, and HACCP principles
  • Skilled in menu development, recipe formulation, and yield guide management
  • Ability to manage inventory, control stock levels, and maintain par stocks
  • Leadership and training ability – capable of supervising kitchen staff and mentoring junior team members
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills for collaboration with chefs, service, and procurement teams
  • Flexible to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Physically fit – able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
