Job Purpose
The Cluster Manager – UCO Sourcing is responsible for driving UCO sourcing performance within an assigned geography. The role involves managing a team of Territory Leads and Field Collection Executives, identifying expansion opportunities, onboarding FBOs, and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts. The Cluster Manager ensures seamless field operations and builds a high-performing, energetic team.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Territory Leads and Field Executives within the assigned cluster.
- Drive target achievement for UCO sourcing and ensure daily, weekly, and monthly performance reviews.
- Provide on-the-job training to Territory Leads to improve selling skills, relationship management, and field execution.
- Build an energetic, motivated, and disciplined field operations team with strong cultural alignment.
UCO Sourcing & Field Operations
- Ensure smooth, consistent, and timely UCO collection operations across the cluster.
- Standardize field processes and ensure adherence to operational SOPs (FBO onboarding, collection flow, documentation, and safety).
- Monitor route planning, vehicle utilization, and daily FCO field movement to maximize collection efficiency.
- Resolve operational escalations swiftly and ensure uninterrupted service to FBO partners.
Business Development & Expansion
- Identify new markets, micro-markets, and expansion opportunities within the cluster to grow sourcing volume.
- Onboard new Food Business Operators (FBOs) by driving outreach, visits, and local campaigns.
- Maintain strong relationships with major accounts, chains, and key HORECA partners to ensure retention and volume growth.
- Work closely with Regional Heads to develop and execute cluster-level growth plans.
Customer Relationship & Account Management
- Ensure high-quality engagement with FBOs, addressing grievances and improving service levels.
- Build long-term relationships with influencers, decision-makers, and local HORECA associations.
- Monitor customer satisfaction metrics and take corrective action as needed. Reporting & Coordination
- Track daily sourcing numbers, territory performance, and collection trends; share reports with the Regional Head.
- Collaborate with Operations, Training, Compliance, and Technology teams to support field effectiveness.
- Ensure timely updating of CRM, app usage, and documentation by team members.
What We’re Looking For
- Graduate or above, with 8 to 11 years of experience in FMCG, logistics operations,general trade, supply/collection operations, or field sales.
- Experience managing frontline teams (sales, delivery, or field executives).
- Strong understanding of territory management, customer engagement, and field execution.
- Excellent communication, team-building, and problem-solving skills.
- High ownership, energy, and ability to drive performance in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with technology (mobile apps, MS Office) and willing to travel within the cluster.
