Job Description

Join our kitchen as a Chef de Partie, the culinary craftsman who brings every banquet and dining experience to life! You’ll create beautifully presented dishes, support your team in delivering seamless service, and play a vital role in ensuring our guests enjoy unforgettable, flavourful moments that reflect Sofitel’s Passion for Excellence.

  • Serve our guests with flair, professionalism, and precision, ensuring every request is fulfilled quickly and seamlessly.

  • Complete tasks promptly while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Assist with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of our world-class brand standards in every aspect of service.
  • Keep all areas organised, clean, and hygienic, with zero tolerance for cross-contamination.
  • Support other teams when needed, fostering strong relationships and smooth operations throughout the hotel.
  • Identify and report hygiene, maintenance, or hazard issues to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Contribute to departmental revenue through smart food cost control and efficient operations.
  • Inspire fellow Ambassadors through professionalism, teamwork, and a positive approach to every shift.
  • Assist in menu preparation, ensure supplies are ready, and help maintain the flow of service.
  • Guide and support other Ambassadors while monitoring productivity, ensuring seamless teamwork.
  • Lead shifts in the kitchen, preparing and presenting dishes to exacting specifications, delighting guests with every plate.

Qualifications

  • Certificate or Diploma in Commercial Cookery, ready to bring your skills to life in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
  • Highly motivated with exceptional attention to detail and a genuine love for gastronomy.
  • 1–2 years in a similar culinary role, ideally in a high-volume or banquet setting.
  • Confidently collaborate with your team, maintaining focus, precision, and efficiency under pressure.
  • Ability to thrive on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Solid understanding of HACCP and food safety standards to ensure every dish is safe and flawless.
  • Remain calm, organised, and precise while meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
