This position will support our flagship location located in the heart of Downtown Hartford. Max Downtown, is our chop and whiskey house focusing on prime cuts of high quality beef. While steak is our focus, we offer a variety of food items for non-steak lovers that highlight our award winning Chef's culinary training and passion for creativity. 

The ideal candidate for this position has had prior experience in a fine dining restaurant. This candidate will provide support to our Award Winning, Executive Chef. The Chef de Cuisine is the chef in charge at times when the Executive Chef is not on duty. The CDC will lead the team to flawlessly execute all of our guests meals to their liking including any special modifications. The CDC will also be responsible for the following:

• assisting with scheduling 
• inventory and creating specials
• ability to work all stations, train new hires and develop other kitchen staff as needed to help build their skills which will allow growth within the company
• culinary training/coursework is a plus but is not required 
• commitment to the customers, reliable to his or her co-workers, and be a self-motivated, organized, and detailed individual is a must 
• effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, and behavior are all required for this position
