Sounds great – what’s the role in a nutshell?

  • The core purpose of this position is to maintain the cleanliness, comfort, and orderliness of all assigned cabins, staterooms, and public/communal housekeeping areas while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient customer service to meet or exceed guest satisfaction and regulatory hygiene standards. 


Your passion is:

Cabin Service & Maintenance 

  • Provide a high standard of cabin service by cleaning and refreshing guest cabins up to three times per day, including morning service, turndown service, and any necessary daytime tidying. 
  • Execute nightly turndown service during the dinner period, preparing the bedding and stateroom for the guest's rest. 
  • Replenish and maintain all in-cabin items, including fresh towels, amenities, and supplies. 
  • Perform a thorough deep cleaning and sanitation of assigned cabins upon guest check-out to prepare for the next arrival. 

Guest Relations & Attentiveness 

  • Anticipate and promptly address guest requirements and special requests with courtesy and efficiency. 
  • Act as a liaison by receiving and carrying out instructions from the Cruise Director and Assistant Cruise Director regarding guest services. 
  • Assist with guest luggage handling during embarkation and disembarkation procedures. 
  • Maintain guest safety and privacy at all times, including strictly adhering to the "knock and announce" protocol before entering any occupied cabin. 
  • Participate actively in all organized events and activities prepared for guest arrival and departure. 

Operational & Ship Support 

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the designated housekeeping storage areas, pantries, and linen warehouses. 
  • Cooperate and provide support for the cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance of the ship’s public and crew areas as directed. 
  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of specialized areas, such as the front area designated for life vests and safety boots. 
  • Provide physical assistance with logistics tasks, such as the proper receiving, distribution, and storage of provisions (food and supplies) and soiled laundry/linen. 

Safety & Compliance 

  • Strictly comply with all shipboard safety, security, and environmental protection procedures during all cleaning and maintenance operations. 
  • Obey and follow all lawful orders and operational instructions issued by the Captain and the Cruise Director, particularly during drills and emergencies.

What are we looking for?

  • STCW Basic Safety Training Certificate. 
  • Any relevant hospitality or housekeeping certificates or experience. 
  • +3
    years of experience onboard
