Bakery Chef ( Authentic French Baguette And Croissant)

Cafe Vendome French Bakery Pastry Cafe in 3 locations : Roswell Road Atlanta , Blue Stone rd Sandy Springs , and Dresden Drive Brookhaven is looking for two Prep Cook to join our team.

NB- Salary depends on previous experience with Authentic French croissant, baguette ( number of years and level of quality) in addition to learning phases within Café Vendôme . $15-$25 /h or salary .

Our ideal candidate: experience with French croissant and baguette and some French Pastry ( Nice to have)

Must be punctual, reliable, respectful, likes to learn, and a team player .

Working hours: 5:30 am to 4:30 PM

You prepare Baguette, Pain de Mie, Challah Bread, and authentic French croissant. Pastry is good plus !

The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow the prep list
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
• Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
• Undertake basic cooking duties such as omelette or sandwich preparation , parboiling food etc.
• Prepare simple dishes such as salads, sandwitches, quiches etc.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly. Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the pastry chef
• Clean working environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as bread/baguette making and viennoiserie ( Pastry experience good to have).
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
• A team player with good communication skills
• Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
