A vibrant, family-focused restaurant in Hartbeespoort is seeking an energetic and experienced Assistant General Manager to help oversee the full operations of a busy sit-down dining establishment. The ideal candidate will have proven experience and a strong understanding of all aspects of restaurant management, including finance, team leadership, product quality, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities – Assistant General Manager
Oversee smooth daily floor operations, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times.
Lead and support waiters, runners, and floor staff during shifts to maintain high service standards.
Manage opening and closing procedures in line with company policies.
Monitor daily sales performance and assist in meeting set targets.
Motivate and guide staff to achieve upselling goals and customer satisfaction objectives.
Handle customer queries and complaints professionally and promptly.
Ensure all food, beverage, and service standards are strictly adhered to.
Assist with stock receiving, rotation, and monitoring for accuracy and freshness.
Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to coordinate service flow.
Assist in training and onboarding new staff members.
Monitor cleanliness, health, and safety compliance across the restaurant.
Step in to cover operational gaps when the General Manager is off-site.
Support the GM with basic admin tasks such as shift planning and staff schedules.
Market Related
