The Holiday Inn at The Mainland located at 151 Route 72 West in Manahawkin, New Jersey is currently looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager.  The Assistant Restaurant Manager at The Mainland Kitchen + Pub will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining services. This position is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The Assistant Manager will also be involved in inventory management, staff training, and implementing promotional activities to enhance guest experiences. By fostering a positive work environment and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, the Assistant Manager will contribute to the overall success and reputation of the restaurant. Ultimately, this role aims to create memorable dining experiences for our guests while driving operational efficiency and profitability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment, with supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting, particularly in a management role.
  • Knowledge of inventory management software and point-of-sale systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling and inventory control.
  • Train and supervise restaurant staff to ensure high levels of service and adherence to company standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to develop and implement marketing strategies and promotions.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
