Job Description: Assistant Restaurant Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations of the bakery and ensuring a high standard of food quality and customer service.
  • Supervise and train restaurant staff, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Maintain inventory levels, place orders for new stock, and track usage to minimize waste.
  • Manage customer feedback and ensure prompt resolution of any issues to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring that the bakery complies with all regulations.
  • Assist in creating work schedules for staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
  • Support the managing of financial transactions, cash handling, and daily sales reports.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies to promote bakery offerings.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special events and promotions, fostering community engagement.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality Management or related field is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS software.

Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a restaurant or bakery environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in customer service and understanding of food safety standards.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and basic accounting principles.
  • Previous experience in a German bakery or knowledge of German baked goods is an advantage.
