Description

As the Assistant Director of Banquet Operations / Banquet Operations Manager, you will oversee the procurement, coordination, and successful delivery of all conferences, meetings, and banquet events.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and monitor all meetings, conventions, and related events.

Ensure all contracts are completed, updated, and properly documented.

Manage departmental standards and procedures, including confirming signed business before planning begins.

Oversee the rooming list process and ensure accuracy.

Coordinate the allocation of event and conference spaces.

Host and entertain clients as required.

Work closely with the Reservations Department regarding room availability and guest preferences.

Collaborate with key departments—including the Sales Team, ICHG Reservations Office, and Regional Sales & Marketing—to secure business opportunities.

Conduct room familiarizations and site inspections.

Maintain and develop strong relationships with business partners, meeting planners, travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, and corporate clients.

Supervise banqueting staff, facilities, sales, and costs to ensure maximum departmental profitability.

Continuously analyze and monitor the following areas to ensure optimal performance:

Product and service quality

Guest satisfaction

Merchandising and marketing effectiveness

Operating costs

Sanitation, cleanliness, and hygiene standards

Oversee the preparation, presentation, and service of banquet food and beverages to ensure consistent high quality.

Foster and maintain effective employee relations.

In collaboration with the Food & Beverage Manager and Executive Chef, supervise the pricing and development of banquet menus, beverage selections, and wine lists, considering:

Local preferences

Market needs

Competitor offerings

Industry trends

Standardized recipes

Cost factors

Product availability

Merchandising and promotional opportunities
